Eagles and Osprey regularly patrol the lake in search of food. There are resident nesting pairs of these magnificent creatures including the Bald Eagle that sits high in a Cottonwood tree along the south shore- which is easy to observe. Watching these birds fish really puts the 'awe' in awesome!
The lake has been stocked up with a lot of rainbow trout! I talked with ODFW and they have put almost 60,000 trout in the lake so far. There are some big fish to be caught still! The kokanee are running a little deep right now anywhere from 70 feet on down past 100 feet. They are still small, but great to eat or smoke. Come on out and throw a line in the water!
